Pre-requisite: Ag Science and Technology I or Ag Options
Designed primarily for sophomore girls and boys interested in farming or any agricultural related part of farming or agribusiness. The course includes a study of the basic principles of livestock production and feeds and feeding, farm records, FFA, and farm mechanics. Time is also spent in agricultural mechanics, which includes advanced rough carpentry, arc and oxy-acetylene welding. Considerable time will be spent in developing skills in these areas and others. After the skills are acquired, projects will be constructed. Each student will continue to develop an agricultural experience program by carrying projects in either or both animal or crop production, or working in an agricultural related business. Some time will be used in continuing the FFA activities, which is an integral part of agriculture education.
